Cryotherapy

Precise & powerful therapy for skin lesions

Swiss Aesthetics

How does the crypopen therapy procedure work?

  • Preparation: Before the procedure, the area around the skin tag is cleaned thoroughly.
  • Application of cold: A cryotherapy device, often containing liquid nitrogen or another freezing agent, is applied to the skin tag. The extreme cold temperature freezes the tissues, causing cellular damage.
  • Cellular destruction: The freezing temperature destroys the cells within the skin tag.
  • Formation of a scab: After the treatment, a scab forms over the treated area as the damaged tissue heals.
  • Healing and removal: Over the following days or weeks, the scab falls off naturally, and the skin tag is gradually eliminated.

Cryotherapy treatment areas

Cryopen therapy is performed on specific areas of the face or body where skin imperfection improvement is required. Areas typically treated are for benign skin lesions such as skin tags, pigmentation, sunspots, liver spots,  seborrheic keratosis, warts, and verrucas

Is it suitable for me?

it may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain skin and heart conditions.

Is it painful?

While undergoing CryoPen treatment, some clients may feel slight discomfort or stinging from the nitrous oxide as it blasts the cold onto the affected area.

Who should avoid this treatment?

Patients with open wounds, certain skin conditions, skin cancer, malignant skin lesions, as well as those diagnosed with cardiac disease and impaired circulation, should avoid the treatment.

What are the side effects?

After the CryoPen procedure, patients may experience temporary symptoms such as redness, blistering, and swelling. The area may also feel itchy and irritated for a day or two, which is normal.

How often should I receive treatments, and when will I see results?

The results of the treatment can vary depending on the treatment area, size, and severity of the blemish. The procedure may be needed only once, but progress can be monitored every four weeks post-procedure.
