How the Microdermabrasion treatment works

Preparation: Before the procedure, the skin is cleansed to remove any makeup, oils, or debris.
Exfoliation: The microdermabrasion device or machine is gently moved across the skin, delivering
a controlled stream of abrasive particles or diamond-tipped wands to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin.
Vacuum suction: Simultaneously, a vacuum suction mechanism collects the exfoliated skin cells
and debris, helping to unclog pores and stimulate blood flow to the skin’s surface.
Hydration and protection: After the exfoliation, a moisturiser or soothing serum may be applied
to hydrate and protect the skin.

Microdermabrasion treatment areas

Microdermabrasion is commonly used to improve the appearance of various skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin tone and texture, enlarged pores, mild acne scars, hyperpigmentation and dull complexion.

The procedure is relatively quick, typically lasting around 30 minutes to an hour, and requires no downtime. Most people experience mild redness or sensitivity immediately following the treatment, but this usually subsides within a few hours to a day.

Multiple sessions of microdermabrasion may be recommended to achieve the desired results, with treatments spaced several weeks apart.
